This is a true story of my experience as a young soldier in the Korean War. That is where I faced some of the most horrifying things that I long to forget, but know I never will. I wrote this book with great emotion. After you read this book, I hope some of you will have a better understanding of what our young men and women face in a war. Do not be hasty to judge them, for some carry deep scars inside that will never heal. The price of freedom is death for many of our soldiers, so please, let us not take our freedom for granted.
Written as if the reader were sitting across the table from William Melton and him telling his story as if the two of them were in a deep conversation, this is a book that will resonate with the reader long after it has been read - Author Cynthia Hickey
BLOOD ON THE SNOW A Korean War Memoir eBook William J Melton
Melton is another American hero who signed a blank check with the U.S. Military stating that he would defend our country without any reservations. His story is most interesting and I feel as though he was telling me his experiences personally as I read each word. I was in the U.S. Air Force at the same time Melton was in the U.S. Army but never experienced the terror and harrowing experiences that he did. God bless you William Melton and thank you for your service.Product details

BLOOD ON THE SNOW A Korean War Memoir eBook William J Melton Reviews
Blood on the Snow was intense because it was a true story and told truthfully in a way any age could read.
Excellent book. Well written and easy to read.
The story was well written but ended suddenly. The comments about Vietnam seemed to come out of left field and did not line up with the rest of the story.
Well written on personal experiences during the Korean war.
Enjoyed the book.It was well written and easy to understand Brought back memories of time served on the DMZ, the freezing cold will never be forgotten. Very accurate in his writing. A true soldier, welcome home...
An interesting story about the Korean War. I might have done construction work on the buildings that the author served in at Fort Riley just before I was about to be drafted.
Having served in Korea 1951-1953 this book brought back many memories. Very well written.
